Trump to Early Clinton Voters: 'If You Think You’ve Made a Mistake' Change Your Vote to Me

Donald Trump reminded early voters in Wisconsin Tuesday night that it was not too late for them to change their minds if they cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton, according to The Washington Post.

Election laws in Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Michigan, as well as Wisconsin, allow residents to switch their early votes before Tuesday. Trump said he was issuing a “public-service announcement” by alerting people to the opportunity.

“A lot of things have happened over the last three days,” the Republican presidential nominee said at a campaign event in Eau Claire, Wis. “This is a message for any Democratic voters who have already cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton and who are having a bad case of buyer’s remorse — in other words, you want to change your vote — Wisconsin is one of several states where you can change your early ballot if you think you’ve made a mistake. A lot of stuff has come out since you voted.”

The Post pointed out that Trump likely was referring to the announcement last week by FBI Director James Comey that the agency was investigating Clinton-related emails on computer devices owned by the former secretary of state’s long-time chief staffer, Huma Abedin. Agents came across the emails while examining devices that Abedin’s estranged husband, former Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner of New York, allegedly used to send sexually explicit material to a teen-aged girl.

Trump’s director of social media is publicizing the phone numbers that early voters in the four states may call to change their ballots.
