Trump Eager To Debate ‘Crooked Hillary Clinton’

Donald Trump declared Tuesday night that he cannot wait for his likely general-election battle against Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, The Hill reported.

“I look so forward to debating crooked Hillary Clinton!” the probable Republican nominee tweeted. “Democratic primaries are rigged, e-mail investigation is rigged, so time to get it on.” He was referring to a nominating process that Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders claims is biased in favor of Clinton, and her use of private email while serving as President Obama’s first secretary of state.

Trump’s message came several hours after he went on Twitter to suggest that Clinton should give up her White House bid if she failed to win the Democratic primary in Kentucky that night. “Do you think crooked Hillary will finally close the deal? If she can’t win Kentucky, she should drop out of race. System rigged!” Trump wrote.

Clinton managed to pull out an extremely narrow victory in Kentucky, which the Sanders campaign called a “virtual tie.” The Vermont senator won the Oregon primary Tuesday night by about 10 percentage points. He earned 28 delegates from that state, while getting the same number of delegates as Clinton in Kentucky. Trump, who no longer has any challengers for the GOP nomination, easily triumphed in his party’s primary in Oregon.
