Trump Denies He Believes Obama Is ‘Sympathetic to Terrorists’

Donald Trump claimed Monday that, despite his recent comments questioning President Obama’s commitment to fighting ISIS, he does not think the administration is deliberately weak on terrorism.

CNN reported that Fox News host Bill O’Reilly asked the apparent Republican presidential nominee whether the president “may be sympathetic to Muslim terrorists.” Trump replied: “I don't believe it. I do say, though, when I see a deal like was made with Iran, this horrible, horrible deal where we're giving them back $150 billion ... we're getting almost nothing out of it. They’re going to end up with their nuclear weapons and lots of other things whenever they want.”

The candidate also lashed out at Obama for his foreign policy concerning the top U.S. ally in the Middle East. “I see the way he treats Israel (and) I say, ‘Wow ... there seems to be a double standard.’ I’m not happy about it,” Trump remarked.

CNN pointed out that the billionaire real-estate developer and former television reality-show host recently suggested Obama is soft on ISIS, as evidenced by his refusal to utter the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Trump declared on “Fox and Friends” on Fox News: “We’re led by a man who is very -- look, we’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind. And the something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it. People cannot believe, they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts. … There’s something going on. It's inconceivable. There's something going on.”
