Trump Considers Palin For Veterans Affairs Position

Sarah Palin could become the next director of the Veterans Affairs administration, according to the Daily Mail.

The former Alaska governor, who was the Republican vice-presidential nominee eight years ago, reportedly is among the candidates for the position because of her early endorsement of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. She spoke at rallies on the real-estate tycoon’s behalf in Iowa and other states, and made no secret of the fact that she wanted a job in his administration. According to a source linked to NBC News, Palin is ready to accept the Veterans Affairs appointment.

During an appearance in Iowa, Palin indicated her support of military veterans when she told the crowd: “No more pussy footin' around! Our troops deserve the best; you deserve the best!”

The conservative ex-governor has criticized the Obama administration for its policies concerning veterans. She declared at a campaign event in Oklahoma: “My son, a combat veteran … was fighting for you all, America, in the war zone. My son, like so many others, came back a bit different. They come back hardened. They come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airman and every other member of the military so sacrificially have given to this country, and that starts from the top. That comes from our own president, where they have to look at him and wonder, ‘Do you know what we go through? Do you know what we’re trying to do to secure America?’”

Palin also was a contender for the nomination for secretary of the Interior Department, according to ABC News.
