Trump: Clinton Presidency Would Be ‘Four More Years’ Of Obama

Donald Trump used Twitter on Thursday to mock President Obama’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton, according to The Hill.

“Obama just endorsed crooked Hillary. He wants four more years of Obama — but nobody else does!” the presumptive Republican nominee wrote, suggesting that Clinton will continue the current administration’s policies if she wins the general election in November.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest disputed the assumption. He argued that Obama and Clinton have “differences,” and claimed “they do not have the same opinion on every issue.” However, the spokesman added that “he has seen her tenacity, her dedication, her commitment to a set of principles they share, and that’s why the president is enthusiastic about her campaign.”

In a video posted last week on YouTube and Clinton’s campaign website, Obama urged voters to cast their ballots for his former secretary of state. “I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office,” he declared. The president said he could “not wait” to hit the campaign trail on behalf of the candidate.

The Hill reported that Clinton responded by saying it was “such a treat” to get the endorsement. She has earned enough delegates to next month’s Democratic national convention to secure the party’s nomination. The other candidate, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, has pledged to support her campaign.
