Trump Calls For Clinton To Be Investigated After Grand Jury Announcement

All throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, there was nothing quite like a Trump rally. Fast forward to today, and the same sentiment holds true. President Donald Trump touched down in West Virginia last night, and he spoke to a capacity crowd that was incredibly energized to hear what the commander-in-chief had to say. As Newsmax shares, Trump touched on a number of familiar topics, and he also offered up an ominous observation on the Left’s obsession with Russia-gate.

Trump ran through a number of his greatest hits while addressing his supporters, but the topic of the never-ending Russia story was a focal point of his speech. The mainstream media and Democratic leaders have been doing their best to cram the story down everyone’s throat, and it’s led to tedious investigations that may be coming to a head. To date, no concrete evidence has emerged of any wrongdoing, and it sounds like Trump is about as tired of hearing about it as the rest of us.

"The Russia story is a total fabrication. It's just an excuse for the greatest loss in the history of American politics. It just makes them feel better when they have nothing else to talk about,” he said. "What the prosecutors should be looking at are Hillary Clinton's 33,000 deleted emails, and they should be looking at the paid Russian speeches and the owned Russian companies. Or let them look at the uranium she sold that is now in the hands of very angry Russians."

As per usual at a Trump event, a mention of Hillary’s name prompted chants of “lock her up.” Trump stayed the course and continued tearing into the Russia story.

"Most people know there were no Russians in our campaign - there never were. We didn't win because of Russia. We won because of you, that I can tell you," he added. "Have you seen any Russians in West Virginia or Ohio or Pennsylvania? Are there any Russians here tonight? Any Russians?"

The crowd completely ate it up, but Trump shifted gears to point out the seriousness of the situation.

He notes that there are forces behind the scenes "trying to cheat you out of the future and the future that you want. They're trying to cheat you out of the leadership you want with a fake story that is demeaning to all of us. And most importantly, demeaning to our country and demeaning to our Constitution."

While Trump has often made mention of the ‘swamp’ in the nation’s capital and the so-called ‘deep state,’ this was an awfully telling remark that points to the fact that the Russia obsession is reaching a boiling point. Certain members of the Democratic party continue crying from the rooftops that something is seriously amiss here, and a willing mainstream media gleefully plays along to advance the narrative.

As such, viewers that only consume their news from those outlets would be led to believe that there’s absolutely nothing else going on in regard to the Trump administration. There’s rarely a mention of the surging economy or progress that has been made on any number of his signature agenda items. It’s easy to see why POTUS is frustrated, and it’s high time for this ‘investigation’ to bear fruit or wither up and die.
