Trump Attempts To Turn Tables On Collusion Talk By Pointing Finger At Hillary

There has been a ton of talk about alleged collusion between Russia, President Donald Trump, and members of his administration. As such, there have been a ton of smoke-and-mirror reports from mainstream media outlets that attempt to paint the picture that something nefarious happened behind the scenes. This has been going on for quite a while, but there remains zero concrete evidence that it’s anything but a conspiracy theory that’s devoid of anything resembling substance.

As The Hill shares, Trump has decided to point out that there has been some collusion in political circles in recent times, but that collusion has received a scant amount of attention. Trump took to social media to point out the situation that’s been essentially brushed under the rug.

“Hillary Clinton colluded with the Democratic Party in order to beat Crazy Bernie Sanders. Is she allowed to so collude? Unfair to Bernie!” Trump wrote.

Trump is referring to a number of leaks that came out during last year’s election cycle. WikiLeaks released a treasure trove of documents from the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign, and there were many inferences that Sanders was essentially playing against a stacked deck while competing against Clinton for the Democratic nomination.

Despite those inferences, Sanders stepped aside quietly when it was clear that Clinton had secured enough delegates to claim the nomination. Nonetheless, Sanders' supporters remain among the most passionate in political circles, and there’s a possibility they could make some noise in future elections and the overall direction of the party.

So why was Trump bringing this up now? Most likely, it’s due to the endless stream of Russia stories that the mainstream media propagates. He would also refer to Russia during an appearance on Fox & Friends, and he turned the tables one more time to show that the media was missing a key piece of the puzzle.

“Well I just heard today for the first time that Obama knew about Russia a long time before the election, and he did nothing about it. But nobody wants to talk about that,” Trump said. “The CIA gave him information on Russia a long time before they even - before the election. And I hardly see it. It's an amazing thing."

Quite simply, it’s quite clear that the commander-in-chief is tired of the all-Russia, all-the-time narrative from certain mainstream outlets. The outlets continue to yell ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ from the rooftops as loudly as they possibly can, but there remains zero evidence that the election was actually impacted. Many voters are as tired of hearing about it as Trump is, but the narrative continues to be pushed.

That opens up plenty of questions. For starters - why? If there’s anything there, it will be revealed during the ongoing investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. There’s no need for the media to be running around like Scooby, Shaggy and the gang here, as we can rest assured that Mueller has it.

Second, if the media is so concerned about the average voter’s growing distrust of the press, why would they continue to push a story that no one - outside of Democratic leaders and members of the press - seems to care too much about?

It’s pretty easy to see why the president is frustrated with the media right now, but it, unfortunately, appears like he’ll just have to get used to it.
