Trump and O’Reilly Argue on Fox News Again

Bill O’Reilly, during an interview with Donald Trump on Wednesday, told the billionaire businessman he is “too thin-skinned.”

Politico reported that the Fox News host was referring to Trump’s frequent complaints about the news media. The Republican presidential front-runner claimed that the moderators at the Dec. 15 CNN-sponsored debate were “really unfair” because they kept encouraging the other candidates to criticize him.

“Do you think CNN dislikes you, the news organization itself?” O’Reilly asked. Trump replied: “Well, honestly, I think I get better press from CNN than I do Fox, Bill, if you want to know the truth.” The “Factor” host answered, “Well, that’s ‘cause we’re the toughest network.” Trump fired back: “I don’t know why,” to which O’Reilly explained: “Because our job is to be tough. You want power.”

That prompted Trump to repeat his argument that he is “covered better on CNN than Fox.” O’Reilly told the candidate that all the networks are trying to “vet you in the best way we can.” Trump responded: “I don’t mind.”

O’Reilly then declared: “You are too thin-skinned.” That seemed to anger Trump, who said: “I don’t think I’m thin-skinned, no. I like to have the truth told about me. … I don’t mind bad things about me if it’s true. I can handle that. But when people say untrue things, I don’t like it.”
