Trump Accuses Washington Post of "Double Standard"

The Washington Post did a thorough investigation on Gov. Scott Walker's background, particularly his college days. Donald Trump wants to know why they didn't do the same for President Barack Obama.

“Why didn’t they send a reporter over to Occidental and to Columbia and to the various Obama schools?” asked Trump in an interview with Breitbart News. “There’s never been a reporter over there. Nobody’s ever found anything. There’s no records available. Why didn’t send a reporter over to talk to the people from the schools he went to? It seems like a terrible double standard.”

According to Trump, the president spent $3.2 million to keep his records private. By the time someone is running for presidency, it's otherwise unheard of that records would not be made public. The White House has dodged questions about President Obama's records for years.

The amount of speculation there has been about the president's college records probably only comes second to the amount of speculation about his birth certificate. Many feel the shroud of secrecy around his education records indicate something damaging. Suggestions from bad grades to accepting foreign student aid have been made, yet no answers have been given.

Trump has not let up on President Obama since he took office in 2008. He’s gone so far as to offer the president $50 million to his favorite charity in exchange for his records, but the president has not taken the bait.

With less than 2 years left for the Obama administration, Trump may be wasting his energy on a moot point. The real estate tycoon has toyed with the idea of running himself in 2016. If he hopes to be taken seriously, it’s time to let go of this little obsession before it bites him in the backside.
