Trump Accuses Obama of Hating Israel

President Obama’s policies in the Middle East are based on his hatred of Israel, according to Donald Trump.

The Republican presidential candidate made the allegation last week during a campaign speech in Reno, Nev., ABC News reported. When an audience member yelled “Israel,” Trump replied: “I heard the beautiful name of Israel.” While pointing at himself, he added: “Israel is safe with this one.”

The billionaire businessman slammed the nuclear agreement that the United States and several other countries negotiated with Iran. He called the deal “so bad for Israel, it’s dangerous.”

“So many friends in Israel, they don’t know what happened,” Trump said, according to CNN. “They have a president who … they actually think Obama hates Israel. I think he does.”

Opposing Views noted that it was not the first time Trump has made the accusation. In December 2014, he retweeted a message that stated: “Mr. Trump, it is undeniable that Obama hates Israel.”

Even before that happened, Trump told Fox News: “Probably, maybe from the beginning, there has never been a greater enemy to Israel than Barack Obama. It’s incredible, the way he treats them, the way he’s speaking to them. I think he treats our known enemies much better.”

Trump, after leading the GOP presidential race for more than three months, has slipped to second place behind Ben Carson, according to a pair of recent national polls.
