Trump Accuses Clinton of Causing ‘Tremendous Death’

Hillary Clinton “caused tremendous havoc and tremendous death” during her tenure as President Obama’s first secretary of state, according to Donald Trump.

“You look at so many decisions that she made that were so bad, so horrible,” the leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination declared Saturday morning on “Fox and Friends.”

The Hill noted that Trump was responding to Clinton’s criticism of his proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States. She called for “love and kindness” rather than imposing a religious test on immigrants.

According to the news site, the real-estate mogul’s remarks about Clinton’s service at the State Department were similar to those of other Republican White House hopefuls, who have accused her of pursuing policies that resulted in bloodshed.

Trump dismissed the possibility of a brokered Republican convention, which could occur if no candidate has enough delegates to clinch the nomination. “I don’t think that’s going to happen for a very simple reason: I’m going to get a majority,” he said. “If I win Iowa, I can clean the table.”

The problem with that scenario is that Trump is losing the Republican race in Iowa to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, based on the results of the latest Des Moines Register poll. The billionaire businessman insisted that despite his recent criticism of Cruz, he considers him a friend. “We’ve had a very good relationship … I like him and I think he likes me,” Trump told reporters.
