Top Trump Advisor Terminated For Saying This About Ivanka Trump

The Trump administration is beginning to play out a little like the president's former reality show. It was only a month ago when President Donald Trump appointed Craig Deare the head of the National Security Council's Western Hemisphere division. On Friday, President Trump announced that Deare had been terminated.

Deare was fired after he put his foot in his mouth by being just a bit too candid about Mr. Trump. Deare made remarks on Thursday during a private conversation at the Wilson Center think tank.

The think tank was supposed to have an anonymous meeting, and no one was authorized to discuss the matter. Word got back to the president, however, that Deare was highly critical of President Trump straining relations with Mexico. Deare also elaborated on the White House being 'dysfunctional' under Trump. He was openly critical about Trump's advisors Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump's son-in-law.

The final nail in the official’s coffin was making some very 'awkward' and lewd comments about First Daughter Ivanka Trump.

Deare was quietly fired after spilling his guts at the Wilson Center when an anonymous person attending the meeting reported the conversations. Reports said that the president let Deare go on Friday, just a day after the event. The White House has confirmed that Deare is no longer with the NSC.

Sarah Sanders, a White House spokeswoman, wouldn't go into details, but explained at a briefing with the media, “I don’t think that any person that is there in order to carry out the President’s agenda should be against the President’s agenda... It seems pretty silly that you would have someone who is not supportive of what you are trying to accomplish there to carry out that very thing.”

Deare has been returned to his post at the National Defense University, where he served as dean of administration for the College of International Security Affairs. He's declined to comment about the incident due to the discussion being off the record.

Deare is the second person President Trump has fired in the last week. National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was asked to resign after he misled Vice President Mike Pence about the nature of his conversations with a Russian diplomat.
