Tom Cotton And Hillary Clinton Spar Online Over Letter To Iran

It seems that no political party has been spared from controversy over the past several weeks. Potential 2016 presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, is going through a myriad of questions regarding her use of personal email during her time as secretary of state and her deletion of over 30,000 emails during her tenure.

At the other end of the aisle, 47 GOP senators and their supporters are under fire for sending an open letter to Iran that gives the appearance of undermining the Obama administration's negotiations with the country. The open letter was led by Republican Sen. Tom Cotton. Well, on Wednesday, Cotton, Clinton and even Gov. Bobby Jindal engaged in a Twitter fight.

Clinton tweeted, “GOP letter to Iranian clerics undermines American leadership. No one considering running for commander-in-chief should be signing on."

Sen. Tom Cotton, not one to back down, tweeted back, "No, @HillaryClinton, letter to Iran helps protect USA from bad deal. No CINC should allow world’s worst regimes to get world’s worst weapon.”

Then, Gov. Bobby Jindal joined in by tweeting, “@HillaryClinton No one who allows Iran to become a nuclear power should consider running.”

The Democrats harshly criticized the open letter as an unprecedented move. In the letter, the senators implied that the nuclear agreement is not technically a "legally binding plan." Secretary of State, John Kerry, said that the pending deal was an executive agreement that needs no congressional approval.
