There’s One Person Responsible For The Russian Controversy According To Trump

President Donald Trump continues to insist that his aides have no shady connections to Russian intelligence and have not done anything wrong. The president continues to label the scandal 'fake news' and blames Hillary Clinton's campaign for starting the rumors to cover up for her election failures.

President Trump tweeted up a storm on Wednesday morning after the New York Times dropped a bomb on him. Tuesday night, the NYT put out a story alleging that the president's aides have had ongoing contact with Russian intelligence since before the election, and that Mr. Trump knew all about it. The accusations led to the resignation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

"The fake news media is going crazy with their conspiracy theories and blind hatred. @MSNBC & @CNN are unwatchable," Trump said in one tweet.

"The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy. Very un-American!" He added later.

"This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton's losing campaign," he also said.

The president did give credit to conservative media reports, which he preferred. "For Thank you to Eli Lake of The Bloomberg View - "The NSA & FBI...should not interfere in our politics...and is" Very serious situation for USA," he tweeted.

The NYT claim inside White House sources said several of Mr. Trump's aides and advisors who have had communications with Russia. "The call logs and intercepted communications are part of a larger trove of information that the F.B.I. is sifting through as it investigates the links between Mr. Trump’s associates and the Russian government, as well as the hacking of the D.N.C., according to federal law enforcement officials. As part of its inquiry, the F.B.I. has obtained banking and travel records and conducted interviews, the officials said," the NYT reported.

The Times also noted that 'officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence' of cooperation between Russia and Mr. Trump to hack the DNC and thwart Hillary Clinton's campaign.
