Spot The Difference Between These Old Photos Of Barack Obama And New Ones? Look Closer

Former President Barack Obama came into the White House in 2009 with a full head of dark brown hair. Just eight short years later, he exited the White House with a salt-and-pepper look, with much of his hair going gray. In the last three months, on his post-White House vacations, the gray seems to have been coming in faster than ever.

The former president is supposed to be relaxing on his vacations in these last few months, but it seems the stress of being the leader of the free world for eight years is still catching up with him. Photos show that Mr. Obama's hair is grayer than ever, even more so than it was when he left office in January.

Some wonder if maybe it's the salt water and tropical sunshine that's bleaching what's left of the brown out of Obama's locks. He and former First Lady Michelle have been hopping from one island paradise to another since his second term came to an end.

The president has joked about his gray hair in the past. “When I came into office [in January 2009], I had no gray hair and now I have a lot... I don’t dye my hair and a lot of my fellow leaders do. I won’t say who. But their barbers know, their hairdressers.”

It would be surprising if it was the stress getting to him; Obama is known for being about as laid back and relaxed as they come. One of his greatest assets during his presidential campaigns was his cool temperament because his opponents could never get a rise out of him. Maybe it’s just a coincidence that gray-haired genetic programming is kicking in after he stepped down from the Oval Office.

One thing he has in his favor is that he does wear it well. No doubt Michelle thinks her ‘swaggalicious’ husband is looking rather distinguished lately.
