Something In This Photo Of Chelsea Clinton Has People Furious, See It? (Photo)

Variety Magazine recently featured Chelsea Clinton, the 37-year-old daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former presidential candidate, Hillary. The magazine was clearly excited about the 'Power of Women' issue, but they were about the only ones. By the comments on social media, no one is interested in Chelsea.

Variety's editor Claudia Eller tweeted, "How cool does Chelsea Clinton look on our Power of Women, NY, cover?"

"Not very," seemed to be the collective response from followers.

"Like some snotty rich kid who nearly the whole school hates, trying to look cool in a brand-new leather jacket," read one tweet. "THAT'S 'how cool'."

Dressing Chelsea up like ‘The Fonz’ was definitely pushing it, and people noticed that Variety was trying way too hard. "The media is trying very, very, very hard to make Chelsea Clinton a celebrity despite the fact nobody anywhere wants her to be one," another Twitter user commented.

"I love it when my parents get me a PR campaign," another commenter joked.

"STOP TRYING TO MAKE HER HAPPEN," insisted one person. The same sentiment was echoed by many others, mostly in the form of 'Mean Girl' memes of Rachel McAdams viciously snapping 'It's not going to happen!"

Other Twitter users slammed the magazine for picking Clinton, whose only real accomplishment is that she had super powerful parents. Her brief media career went no-where before she signed on to work for the Clinton Foundation. She did nothing of note during her time with the foundation.

"So, to be considered cover-worthy for an issue talking about power for women, all you have to do is be born to the right people?" asked one person.

"I'm just looking for ONE positive Tweet about this," said one person, scanning through the messages. "Just one. Wow. Not ONE!"

Chelsea was asked, yet again, if she plans to follow in her parents’ footsteps and pursue a political career. Some thought this might be what the magazine cover was trying to set up. Yet again, she gave the same non-answer. "If someone steps down or something changes, I'll then ask and answer those questions at that time. But right now, no, I'm not running for public office."
