Snoop Dogg Takes Opposition To Trump to A Whole New Level

There are plenty of folks out there that don’t particularly care for President Donald Trump or his policies, and there’s nothing wrong with that. We all don’t see things the same way, and plenty of folks feel that there are better ways to get things done. If Trump fails to do his job well, the amount of folks that support him will be less come 2020. As a result, he would be voted out of office. In the meantime, those that disagree with him or his policies are free to do so in constructive fashion.

Unfortunately, there are too many cases in which opposition to Trump is being demonstrated in anything but constructive fashion. In some of those cases, the opposition crosses the line in alarming fashion. Another example of that comes courtesy of rapper Snoop Dogg, who has already made it crystal clear that he’s opposed to Trump and his policies. As the Daily Mail shares, he’s driving that point home yet again with his latest album cover.

Snoop has shared a photo on social media that appears to be the cover art for his new album, ‘Make America Crip Again.’ In the photo, Snoop is standing over a dead body that is draped in an American flag. The dead body just so happens to have a toe tag that brandishes the name Trump.

This is the second time this year that the rapper has felt the need to express his opposition to Trump in outrageous fashion. Back in March, he parodied the assassination for Trump in a music video. In that video, Snoop shoots a gun in the direction of a clown-like character that represents Trump as the word ‘bang’ pops out of the gun. Snoop offered up his reasoning for the scene upon the release of the video.

“I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this f***ing clown as president, and the sh** that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being,” he said.

It’s unclear exactly how the faux assassination of a sitting president equates with a so-called ‘party record,’ but Snoop was clear that he wasn’t merely looking to cause a stir.

“When I be putting sh** out, I don’t ever expect or look for a reaction. I just put it out because I feel like it’s something that’s missing. Any time I drop something, I’m trying to fill in a void,” he added. “It’s a lot of clown s**t going on that we could just sit and talk on the phone all day about, but it’s a few issues that we really wanted to lock into [for the video] like police, the president and just life in general.”

It’s unclear what void he feels that he has to fill, as there’s more than enough anti-Trump sentiments out there. As his album title suggests, Snoop feels that the solution to things is for the nation to look to street gangs for inspiration. We fail to see how that would be constructive. The album cover reeks of a desperate attempt to drum up interest, but that doesn’t amount to an acceptable excuse for proudly displaying such disturbing imagery and sentiments.
