Sarah Palin: Trump's Comments Don't Compare To The 'Locker Room Talk' I've Heard

Sarah Palin claims she has “heard much worse” things than Donald Trump’s lewd remarks in a 2005 audio recording released last week.

The Daily Mail reported that the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee defended Trump on her Facebook page Sunday night, after the second debate between the real-estate tycoon and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

Recalling her work covering sports from 1985 to 1988, Palin wrote: “As a former sports reporter, I’ve heard much worse in locker rooms.” She was referring to Trump’s claim that his remarks were merely “locker room talk.” In the recording, he told “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush that he had used his “star” status as a reality-show celebrity to kiss women and “grab them in the p***y.”

In her Facebook post, Palin called Trump’s statements “disgusting, shameful, totally disrespectful ‘locker room’ garbage, privately shared between two Hollywood playboys over a decade ago.”

The conservative Tea Party favorite, who endorsed Trump early in the campaign, praised his debate performance. “My kind of locker room talk for y’all: Slam dunk,” she wrote. “Friends, the quarterback’s doing all he can … we must all do our part 'cuz we’re the line.” That was followed by a quote from former football coach Vince Lombardi: “It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s that you get back up.”
