Sarah Palin Reacts to Iowa Caucus Vote: ‘America Wins!’

Republican presidential candidates scored a victory over “the permanent political class” in the Iowa caucuses Monday night, according to Sarah Palin.

“Tonight, America wins,” the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee proclaimed on her Facebook page. Newsmax pointed out that she recently endorsed Donald Trump, who continues to lead national polls of Republican voters despite having lost to Ted Cruz in Iowa.

Palin cheered the success of the billionaire businessman and the Texas senator, as well as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who are running as anti-establishment candidates. “To restore constitutional government, the status quo has got to go,” she wrote. “The Iowa caucuses proves many Americans feel the same. Now, this healthy, hearty competition moves to New Hampshire, South Carolina and beyond.”

Palin said Trump’s supporters “thank Iowa supporters and look forward to forging ahead.” She added: “The tangible, common-sense conservative solutions requiring a doer, not a talker, will restore American exceptionalism. Onward and upward, America.”

The former governor, who considered launching her own White House bid this election cycle, has made several speeches on behalf of Trump at the real-estate tycoon’s campaign rallies in Iowa and Oklahoma. As a Tea Party favorite, she might help Trump boost his appeal to conservative voters.
