Rick Santorum Featured in ISIS Online Magazine

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is boasting about being featured in a magazine by the Islamic State militant group, Buzzfeed reported.

“I don’t know if you know this, but last month I was featured in an online … magazine of ISIS,” the former Pennsylvania governor said on the “Lars Larson Show.”

He explained: “They had a picture of me and quote in their magazine under the words, ‘in the words of our enemies.’ That was the headline of the article. ... They know who I am and I know who they are.”

The article, in the magazine “Dabiq,” identifies Santorum as a “Catholic crusader and American politician.” In the introduction, it notes that such “crusaders (have) voiced their concerns over the power and drive of the Islamic State, its revival of Islam and the Caliphate, and its eventual expansion into Europe and the rest of the world.”

The article goes on to quote Santorum warning that ISIS is “calling people from all over the world to come and fight this battle.” The former senator continued: “As long as they hold ground and want to expand that ground, more and more will come. … They will get stronger. The reason the West had a thousand-year war with Islam is that Islam was ever expanding.”
