Republican Senator Calls President Obama 'Naive' on Iran Deal

Last week, Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), told host Martha MacCallum on Fox News’s “America’s Newsroom,” “The president has been naïve throughout this whole process. What this deal shows me is there is no red line for the president and this administration. They were so desperate to get a deal that they settled for a very bad deal. The president had this deal euphoria that to me said that he is blinded and cannot see how detrimental this deal is to the United States as well as to the world in terms of safety and security."

Barrasso also insinuated that Hillary Clinton is putting the U.S. in danger by backing Obama's deal. He stated “I think she was the first one to throw in the towel. She was the first to surrender and say it’s OK for Iran to continue its development of a nuclear weapon. She has to be held accountable for her role in what is a terrible deal for our own U.S. security." On Wednesday, Clinton declared “I support this deal. I support it as part of a larger strategy toward Iran."
