Report: FLOTUS Is Now The President's Gatekeeper

If you want to get a hold of the boss, there’s a good chance you’ll have to figure out a way to get past the gatekeeper. That’s true in businesses all across the nation, and the same thing takes place in the nation’s capital.

But what can you do when your pleas to the gatekeeper fall on deaf ears and you really need to get a hold of the man or woman in charge? According to one recent report, some folks trying to get a hold of President Donald Trump are taking a tried and true approach to things.

As AOL shares, friends of the Trump family that have been unable to get a response from the president when reaching out to Chief of Staff John Kelly are going straight to the First Lady. As many folks across the nation know, one sure way to get the ear of the person you wish to speak with is to make nice with their spouse.

A source that has tried this tactic with Melania Trump spilled the beans to the Wall Street Journal.

"If I don't want to wait 24 hours for a call from the president, getting to Melania is much easier," the source said.

Outside of public appearances, Melania generally flies under the radar. However, this is just the latest report that pulls her into the spotlight in rather interesting fashion. A recent report from Vanity Fair contends that Melania has no desire to be in the White House whatsoever.

"This isn't something she wanted and it isn't something he ever thought he'd win," a source claimed. "She didn't want this come hell or high water."

That report sparked a passionate rebuke from the office of the First Lady, as a spokesperson outlined her position in no uncertain terms.

"Once again part of the liberal media, this time Vanity Fair, has written a story riddled with unnamed sources and false assertions," the statement read in part. "As a magazine tailored to women it is shameful that they continue to write salacious and false stories...As has been stated on the record many times before, she is honored by her role,"

It’s unclear if we can expect a response to the new report or not, but we’ll consider that unlikely. This one is more of an interesting tidbit than anything, and it’s really not all that unusual.

As we mentioned, many folks will resort to various methods when they can’t get their call returned or their questions answered. This one is ripped right from the playbook of how to get a response.

Whether it’s appropriate or not is certainly open for debate. If the person you’re attempting to speak to is avoiding you like the plague, there may just be a possibility that they’re too overwhelmed to deal with trivial matters at the present time.

It could also be because they have no desire to speak with you whatsoever, but we’ll choose to focus on the positive reasons for why that may be the case.
