Rand Paul Says Graham And McCain Are Obama's Lapdogs

As the 2016 presidential race heats up, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is defending himself against Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and John McCain (R-Az.) by calling them "lap dogs" for President Obama's national security agenda.

Both senators have accused Paul of being a threat to national security. In an interview on Fox News, Paul said, “This comes from a group of people wrong about every policy issue over the last two decades. I'm the only one actually standing up and saying the war in Libya was a mistake, the bombing of Assad would make ISIS stronger, the arms to the Islamic rebels would make ISIS stronger. So I'm really the one standing up to President Obama, and these people are essentially the lapdogs for President Obama and I think they're sensitive about that.”

GOP hawks call Paul an isolationist and are skeptical of his non-interventionist views. In an interview with MSNBC on Monday, Graham said that Paul has "been more wrong than right" on foreign policy matters.

Yet, Paul said, “These people who call loudest to criticize me are great proponents of President Obama’s foreign policy, they just want to do it ten times over. I think that intervention is not always the answer and that some interventions lead to unintended consequences. Their foreign policy is so disjointed, confusing and chaotic that really people need to reexamine those who want to be involved in every war.”

Paul also declared, that like President Reagan, he believes in peace through strength.
