Priebus Denies Russians Involvement In Trump’s Election Win

Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election because “people didn’t like the product,” according to Reince Priebus, who refuted allegations that Russian hackers influenced the race in favor of Donald Trump.

“All of the people that are spinning the intelligence reports (that Russian leader Vladimir Putin directed cyber attacks on the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign manager John Podesta) are doing it to delegitimize the election results,” Trump’s White House chief of staff said on “Fox News Sunday,” according to Newsmax.

Priebus continued: “If there is this conclusive opinion among all of these intelligence agencies, then they should issue a report or they should stand in front of a camera and make the case. I think that these guys should be straight with the American people and come out and say it. I don’t think they’ve been clear about it.”

The incoming chief of staff was referring to the CIA and FBI, each of which has concluded that Putin was looking for emails that would harm Clinton’s presidential bid. Russian hackers allegedly attacked the computers of Republican officials, as well, but gave WikiLeaks only the Democrats’ emails.

According to Priebus, intelligence agencies have not sufficiently proven that hacking affected the outcome of the election. He said Democrats “need to face the reality they lost.”
