Palin On The Attack: Get Rid Of Comey For Conflict Of Interest

Sarah Palin responded to FBI Director James Comey's announcement that President Donald Trump's ties to Russia are being investigated. According to the former governor and VP candidate, Comey shouldn't even be part of Trump's team. She linked to a disturbing article from Breitbart outlining Comey's links to the Clinton Foundation.

As Comey investigates whether or not the Trump administration colluded with Russia to rig the election, some wonder who is investigating whether or not Comey colluded with Clinton to rig the outcome of her investigation. Some connections revealed that Comey failed to disclose are disconcerting to Palin, a former Republican vice presidential candidate.

"The swamp runs deep. Where are Congressional 'investigators' on this conflict of interest issue?" Wrote Palin on Facebook on Tuesday. "Why aren't dots more clearly connected by those in authority, those privy to information that we peasants are not? Why is tainted Comey still part of Team Trump? How long does he get to ride the train?"

Palin linked her post to a Breitbart article entitled, "Exposed: FBI Director James Comey’s Clinton Foundation Connection."

The September article reads, "A review of FBI Director James Comey’s professional history and relationships shows that the Obama cabinet leader — now under fire for his handling of the investigation of Hillary Clinton — is deeply entrenched in the big-money cronyism culture of Washington, D.C. His personal and professional relationships — all undisclosed as he announced the Bureau would not prosecute Clinton — reinforce bipartisan concerns that he may have politicized the criminal probe. These concerns focus on millions of dollars that Comey accepted from a Clinton Foundation defense contractor, Comey’s former membership on a Clinton Foundation corporate partner’s board, and his surprising financial relationship with his brother Peter Comey, who works at the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation’s taxes." the article reads.

Many liberals blame Comey for costing Clinton the election. Just days before the election, he reopened the investigation into her emails and closed the case again. Even though the previous conclusion hadn’t changed, the negative attention caused Clinton’s chances to take a sharp downturn.

Conservatives blame Comey for not doing enough in the Clinton email scandal. While Comey said the former Secretary of State didn’t mean to commit a crime, the fact that she ignored subpoenas and had evidence destroyed indicates otherwise.
