Organizer Of 'Black Men For Bernie' Sues Hillary, DNC For Fraud

During last year’s Democratic primary, there were plenty of whispers that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was getting a raw deal as he faced off against eventual nominee Hillary Clinton. The insurgency of Sanders and his supporters seemed to be rather surprising to the Clinton camp, as the general feeling was that the deck was stacked in her favor. While Sanders threw his support behind Clinton when all was said and done, the scars have still lingered for many of his supporters.

As the Daily Mail shares, one of them has gone ahead and filed a lawsuit over the whole thing. Gary Frazier, an organizer with Black Men for Bernie and DNC contributor, has filed suit against Hillary Clinton and the DNC alleging that they committed fraud, negligence, and violated their charter as a non-profit political organization. In addition to those allegations, Frazier contends the DNC was careless with his personal and financial information, which left it susceptible to hackers.

According to the suit, Frazier contends that the DNC was “anything but impartial' as it “devoted its resources to propelling Clinton's candidacy ahead of all her rivals, even if this meant working directly against the interests of Democratic Party members including Bernie Sanders' supporters.”

“I know that the DNC worked against Bernie Sanders, I was out there on the front line,” Frazier said. “The DNC blockaded a lot of stuff. For what the DNC and Hillary Clinton have done, we are going to hold them accountable. I am filing this lawsuit on behalf of all Bernie Sanders supporters. I'm alleging the DNC committed fraud against Sanders's supporters during the primary. The system was rigged from the beginning and they never had a chance.”

Frazier hopes that his suit will lead to Sanders supporters receiving refunds from the DNC, as well as some more transparency about what happened when DNC servers were hacked. He also hopes to get to the bottom of a long-running conspiracy theory that has never quite gone away.

“We are trying to find out what is Seth Rich's role was in the leak –did he give DNC info to Wikileaks, to Guccifer 2.0, to the Russians? We don't know,” he said. “Seth was a strong Bernie guy, there is very little dispute over that. I think after this lawsuit we'll know who killed Seth Rich.”

Rich was murdered in the nation’s capital, but the case has never been solved. Frazier is among the many that feels there’s a lot more to see here.

“I was on the front line and I can tell you what happened. Seth Rich was about to expose everything that was happening with the DNC,” he said. “The establishment of the Democratic Party killed Seth Rich. We know that they did. That's what people are not talking about.”

Beyond the things that he hopes to accomplish, Frazier is just ticked that Sanders got such a raw deal.

“I'm an African-American but I was out there with 5,000 whites holding Black Lives Matters banners. That tells me something is wrong with our system and we have been oppressed of our votes all our lives. Bernie was right there with us,” he added. “Another reason I'm right there with Bernie is that he's committed to changing the lives of African-American women but that message wasn't getting to our urban communities and schools enough because if it was, then Bernie would be the president right now.”
