Officials Shocked By Who They Discovered Threw An Object At President Trump

With all the anti-Trump sentiment stirred up these days by protesters and the media, it's not surprising that some children have jumped on the 'I hate Trump' bandwagon. Unfortunately, though, children don't always understand the consequences of serious actions, like throwing something at the president's motorcade. One child is about to find out.

When President Donald Trump's motorcade was making its way from his Mar-a-Lago home to the airport, authorities reported someone threw something at the cars. The Secret Service immediately began investigating after a witness saw a rock and a chunk of wood was tossed at the president and his entourage in West Palm Beach, Florida. They found the objects on the ground and swarmed local businesses to review any surveillance camera videos.

It turned out to be middle school students. At least one student was approached by the Secret Service and confessed to throwing a square chunk of a 2x4 piece of wood. He said at least four other students were with him. One is suspected of throwing a rock.

There were a group of protesters on the corner when the objects were thrown. It's unclear if the students were with the protesters or if they just happened upon the scene and acted spontaneously.

There's no word on whether a rock or piece of wood actually hit a car, and no one was hurt. However, throwing something at the president's motorcade is a serious offense.

At this point, the Secret Service isn't releasing any more details about the incident, but they have filed charges. Five middle school students are facing charges for taking part in the incident.

The Palm Beach Sheriff's office offered assistance to the Secret Service in tracking down the culprits, but have declined to give any additional details. The matter is under investigation.

There are some things you just don’t do, no matter how much you might not like the president. In today’s political climate, many people are forgetting that, regardless of the man holding the office, the office itself demands the highest respect.
