Obama: Trump Is Not Such a Great Businessman

President Obama is questioning Donald Trump’s claim that his prowess in the business world qualifies him for the nation’s highest office.

In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, Obama declared: “There’s no successful businessman in America who actually thinks the most successful businessman in the country is Donald Trump. I know those guys, and so do you, and I guarantee you, that’s not their view.”

Newsmax pointed out that the statement was just the latest attack on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee by the current occupant of the White House. On several occasions, Obama has suggested that Trump is not prepared to lead the country.

The New York Times reported that the president, while visiting the Treasury Department earlier this month, slammed the real-estate mogul for using “language that singles out immigrants and suggests entire religious communities are complicit in violence.” He did not say Trump’s name, but clearly was referring to the billionaire’s proposals to ban Muslim immigration and conduct surveillance of mosques in the United States.

Mocking Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” Obama warned: “Do not believe people when they tell you they wish they could go back to the good old days, because the good old days aren’t.”
