"Morning Joe" Hosts Blast Trump For Recent Noncommittal Response To Russian Interference Questions

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. The crack team on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ has absolutely lambasted the President of the United States again, and they did it in their signature style that manages to perfectly meld condescension and a sky-is-falling narrative into one neat little package. So what got into the team’s coffee this time around? Well, Trump answered some questions in Poland, and one of his answers was far too much for them to bear.

As Fox News Insider shares, there really wasn’t too much to see here, but the Morning Joe team sure saw something that it didn’t like.

“Trump was asked at a news conference if he accepts the fact that Russia meddled in last year's election,” Insider reports. “The president answered that Moscow probably played a role but that 'nobody really knows for sure' and other countries could have been involved too.”

It was an incredibly simple and nondescript moment in what was an altogether solid day for the Trump White House, but Joe Scarborough still managed to catch a bee in his bonnet.

"For him to attack American institutions two days after the Fourth of July on foreign soil, the day before we meet America’s chief adversary, is nothing short of disgusting," he said.

Scarborough wasn’t alone in his sentiments, as the rest of the team nodded along approvingly. They would soon jump in to confirm that things are just downright awful right about now.

“Co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist backed up the sentiments, while Richard Haas - president of the Council on Foreign Relations - accused Trump of undermining the U.S. intelligence community, which concluded Russia was behind the hacking of the DNC and the Clinton campaign,” Insider continues.

Really? So we’re going to take what was a well-received day for the President of the United States abroad and still manage to twist it into a negative? And over Russian ‘hacking’ that has yet to result in a single vote having been changed in last year’s election?

Perhaps it shouldn't be so hard to believe, as the 'Morning Joe' crew views bashing Trump as some sort of a sport. It’s unclear if they have some kind of daily prize for who can take the biggest potshot at the president, but it certainly seems as if they attempt to outdo each other. Specific gripes and complaints about policy initiatives are fair game, but blatant personal attacks are out of line.

Of course, the president himself crossed the line with his well-publicized tweets directed at Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski in which he referred to them as "crazy" and "psycho." Quite simply, that’s beneath the office of the presidency, and he does himself no favors by being pulled into a war of words with a pair of talking heads. The show has an incredibly transparent agenda against the president, and it’s time to let it merely float around in the echo chamber it exists in as opposed to giving it any serious attention befitting an actual news program.
