Media Furious When They See What Trump Was Doing To Clinton In Tweet
President Trump is under fire for sharing an inappropriate tweet about Hillary Clinton.
The tweet, which features a fake video, shows him hitting Hillary Clinton with a golf ball. The Huffington Post reported that a man who calls himself “@Fuctupmind” originally posted the clip. In his biography, the Twitter user called for the prosecution and imprisonment of Clinton, and cites a conspiracy theory that Democrats were responsible for the death of Democratic National Committee employee Seth Rich. According to BuzzFeed, @Fuctupmind has written posts ridiculing Jews and LGBTQ people. In November, he tweeted: “Please get rid of the Hasidic Jews. They are the worst people on the planet. They have taken over areas in NY.”
The video shows Trump swinging a golf club and striking Clinton with the ball. It was created by splicing a clip of the president on a golf course with 2011 news footage of the former secretary of state tripping and falling while getting on an airplane. The editing makes it look like the ball hit Clinton in the back, causing her to stumble, CNN explained.
The president’s critics are accusing him of promoting violence against women. Walter Schaub, a former director of the federal Office of Government Ethics, alleged that Trump broke Twitter’s rules of conduct. “The president of the United States just retweeted a video vignette that imagines him assaulting his political rival. The man is unfit,” Schaub wrote.
While Clinton did not respond to requests for comments about the video, she has spoken out against violent imagery directed at her. “We recently had this big kerfuffle ― this condemnation of Kathy Griffin ― for the picture she had of herself holding a head of Trump like a play on Perseus holding the head of Medusa,” Clinton said last week. “They were selling T-shirts and mugs at the Republican convention with Trump holding my head. Nobody said a word. Not a word!”

According to HuffPost, some Trump supporters wore a variety of anti-Clinton T-shirts at the Republican candidate’s rowdy rallies. Among the images on the shirts was a depiction of Trump knocking out Clinton in a boxing match. Another doctored picture showed Clinton tumbling off a motorcycle.
CNN reported that retired Gen. John Kelly, the White House chief of staff, is trying to control the president’s Twitter habit. He has asked Trump to let him review tweets before they are posted, but that does not always happen. White House communications staffers declined to answer questions about whether Kelly approved the fake video.
The president has been blasting Clinton’s newly released book, “What Happened,” about the 2016 race. He recently tweeted that his former opponent “blames everybody and every thing but herself for her election loss.” He was referring to Clinton’s claim that former FBI Director James Comey’s investigation of her emails cost her the presidency.
She also wrote that Russian operatives who hacked her campaign chairman and the Democratic National Committee last summer severely damaged her campaign. In addition, Clinton argued that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders was “impugning” her character when, during the battle for the Democratic nomination, he questioned her large campaign donors and lavish speaking fees.
