Marco Rubio Claims He Can Beat Donald Trump

Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio has stated several times that he is the only candidate that can beat Donald Trump. Yet, he hasn't led any statewide polls outside of Utah. In addition, he came second place in Nevada but Trump still had a double-digit lead.

Tuesday's Nevada caucuses show Trump at 45.9 percent to Rubio's 23.7 percent and Ted Cruz's 21.4 percent. Now that Jeb Bush is out of the race, Rubio boasted on "CBS This Morning," "We'll win in Florida. Now that Gov. Bush is no longer in the race, and him and I split up a lot of the support in Florida. That will help us."

During Trump's victory speech after his strong victory in Nevada's GOP caucuses, he said he could have the Republican presidential nomination sewn up in less than two months. In addition, a CBS News/YouGov survey shows Trump in first place in Florida with 41 percent of the vote. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has 22 percent and Rubio only has 18 percent.

Also, Trump's victories in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada have given him 81 delegates so far. Rubio and Cruz have 17 each.

Rubio explained, "He does have a delegate advantage, but it's not overwhelming. In fact there are plenty of states out there in the winner-take-all category, that if you win 'em, you more than catch up."

Trump said, "I grab, I am greedy, I want money. But now I'm going to be greedy for the U.S. I'm going to grab and grab for the U.S. and make America great again."
