A Majority Of Americans Think Obama Is Incompetent and ISIS is in America

A Fox News poll released Thursday shows that most Americans believe terrorists are likely to be living in their communities, the TV network reported.

Sixty percent of those surveyed agreed with the statement. That was similar to the 58 percent pollsters reported nine months following the 9-11 attacks. In 2007, however, only 48 percent thought terrorists were in their hometowns.

Six of 10 respondents also said they believe the country remains in a recession. That is a big drop from 86 percent in 2010 and 74 percent last year. The portion of voters who think the recession is over has reached a record high of 36 percent. Five years ago, only 10 percent said it was over.

On another question, the pollsters discovered that 53 percent of respondents do not consider the Obama administration “competent and effective” in running the government. The president actually got a worse review last year, when 59 percent called him incompetent. The number who say the administration is competent has risen from 39 percent to 44 percent since 2014.

Obama’s job-approval rating in the Fox News poll is 44 percent, up slightly from 42 percent at the same time last year. Fifty-one percent, down from 53 percent in 2014, disapprove of his performance.
