Linda Tripp Makes Stunning New Claim About Clinton White House

Linda Tripp, a White House veteran who rose to fame during the time when former President Bill Clinton was nearly removed from office, is back in the spotlight with some new claims about the Clinton White House.

The overwhelming number of sexual harassment scandals that are sweeping through different industries has led to a ton of reflection about the various scandals of a similar nature that have swirled around the former president for decades. One of the biggest involved his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, which Tripp helped to expose.

As AOL shares, Trump has come forward with some new insight into the Clinton White House, and let’s just say it’s on the eyebrow-raising side. During an interview with the Weekly Standard, Tripp claimed that the housekeeping staff at the White House was none too keen on bending over in front of Clinton due to fear of his lewd impulses.

As Tripp explains, the wave of harassment allegations against other powerful men has led to her thinking about how different the climate was back when Clinton was in power. She seems to believe that the media’s newfound outrage over harassment in general is a bit on the rich side since Clinton has essentially been given a pass for decades in spite of numerous allegations against him.

“They have nothing to lose, and this is now permissible. The fact that the Clintons are dead in the water gives [the media] tacit approval to act like human beings. . . . It’s disingenuous. Things have changed,” Tripp said. “What information do they have at their fingertips today that they didn’t have 20 years ago? What information has changed?”

Tripp also touched on Lewinsky, who has suffered way more than Clinton ever will for getting entangled in his web. To Lewinsky’s credit, she hasn’t allowed it to ruin her life, but she was essentially the subject of scorn and ridicule for having an affair with a man in a position of power.

Would the reaction be the same if the Clinton scandal played out today? For Tripp, hindsight has helped her place things into the proper context.

“It was not consensual, and it was not an affair. It was a servicing agreement on his part. She was a kid. She may have been 22 and had a voluptuous body and was misguided in her choices, but emotionally, she was 15—a groupie.

It reminded me of myself with the Beatles and the Dave Clark Five in the early ’60s,” Tripp said. “That same obsession. To say that Monica Lewinsky was a woman at that point in her life was a stretch beyond comprehension.”

While there has been some increased attention directed towards the Clinton allegations in the current environment, that doesn’t take away from the fact that a blind eye has been turned to them for years.

In today’s environment, a whiff of anything along these lines has completely destroyed the careers of some incredibly powerful men. Why have the same standards never been applied to Clinton?
