Jeb Bush: Trump Won Because The People See Him As A Leader Of Change

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was once in the thick of things in this year’s presidential race, but his candidacy ultimately came to an end when he realized that this year was unlike any other. As Newsmax reports, that’s led the former foe of President-elect Donald Trump to reflect on things, and he’s offered up some poignant words on why things played out the way they did.

"The people's anger is legitimate. Their frustrations are real. The system hasn't worked for people in a long while. Washington needs to be drained. It is a swamp," Bush said.

Contrast that perspective with that of the mainstream media and Democratic Party, both of whom act as if they are completely baffled as to why Trump won out. Whether it’s those pesky Russians, FBI Director James Comey, various scandals or Trump’s ‘deplorable’ supporters, there’s plenty of excuses being doled out. Perhaps Bush can put the above statement on some color-coded flash cards and place it in with the next round of Democratic talking points.

"These voters believe the American dream is increasingly out of reach. They believe our system is skewed in favor of the powerful and the connected. They believe that the politicians elected to right these wrongs have only made them worse," he continued.
