Jeb Bush Calls Hillary Clinton's 9-11 Ad 'Disgraceful'

The former governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, attacked Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential front-runner, for the creation of a ‘disgraceful’ ad that criticizes the way his brother handled the terrorist attacks on 9/11. The Tweet, sent out by Jeb Bush, read “@HillaryClinton Your political machine’s 9/11 ad is disgraceful. As a New Yorker you know the leadership my brother provided after 9/11.”

Jeb Bush began to hit back against this new campaign ad that is airing later in the week implying that the past commander in chief didn’t keep the country safe while he was in office. The commercial, produced by the Americans United for Change advocacy group, attacks former President Bush for endangering the lives of Americans with sprawling bureaucracy, a poor economy and war.

President of the Americans United for Change, Brad Woodhouse, stated “It’s as if Jeb Bush believes his brother’s presidency began on September 12th 2001.” He continued on to state, “But we’re not going to let Jeb rewrite history.”

The new ad, which is titled “Safe?” is in reference to a remark made by Jeb Bush regarding his brother during the latest GOP debate. Jeb retaliated by stating, “As it related to may brother, there’s one thing I know for sure – he kept us safe.” He continued on to say, “He sent a clear signal that the United States would be strong and fight Islamic terrorism. And he did keep us safe.”
