Ivanka Trump Reveals Her 'Secret Talent'

For someone that’s the subject of such intense media scrutiny and backlash online, Ivanka Trump still manages to come across as quite grounded. An endless amount of shade gets thrown in her direction over things such as her privileged upbringing, but the overwhelming majority of criticism that heads her way has to do with her father, President Donald Trump. It’s no secret that there are plenty of Trump detractors out there, and the overly vocal portion of that group has a tendency to look for things to pounce on.

Ivanka has been a prime target of that, and there’s not much she can do or say without being ridiculed mercilessly. To her credit, she holds her head up high and carries herself with a tremendous amount of class whenever she’s in the public eye. She’s not shy about opening up about things either, as evidenced by this recent interview she had with Sean Hannity of Fox News. As the Daily Mail shares, Ivanka would open up about the ‘secret talent’ that she and her husband, White House adviser Jared Kushner, share.

“This is Jared and my secret talent - people don't realize it's our hidden skill, we're matchmakers,” she said. “Seven marriages, zero divorces. Hopefully, God-willing that continues.”

That led the pair to chat about the fact that Hannity also fashions himself as a matchmaker. In fact, he even tried to play cupid for one of Ivanka’s assistants.

“You tried to set her up and were almost successful, but what really excited me about this story is when I found out that you actually had a website where you were making matches,” Ivanka added.

Hannity’s foray into professional matchmaking didn’t last all that long, but he notes that he still has an eye for that sort of thing.

“I used to do these long book signings that would go on for hours and a cute couple would come up and I'd say 'how long have you been dating', they'd say 'three years' and I'd say 'what are you waiting for,'" Hannity explained. “A lot of people appreciated it and they did get married. I even have a child named after me and dogs.”

The pair would move onto other topics, including the president’s desire to finally overhaul the burdensome tax code.

“It's been many decades since the last time the code was looked at and the realities of the modern working, and modern working family have changed dramatically since then,” Ivanka explained. “So on a basic level, this is a bipartisan discussion. People, Americans, want tax reform. They want simplicity, it's too complicated.”

Ivanka is spot on with her assessment that this should really be a bipartisan discussion, as this is a topic that impacts each and every American citizen regardless of political affiliation. Unfortunately, many Trump critics are still attempting to turn it into another round of political talking points. Those efforts aren’t going too well, as it’s a pretty tough sell to convince folks that simplifying the tax code and reducing taxes for the vast majority of voters is somehow a bad thing.

In any event, Ivanka’s appearance went off without a hitch, but you can be sure she’s being blasted in some circles for what she had to say. To that, we encourage you to take a look at the messenger and attempt to figure out what they’re really so worked up about.
