Huckabee Slams Clinton For Criticizing Trump - Calls Out Her Performance As Top Diplomat

Mike Huckabee is praising President Trump’s speech at the United Nations while slamming Hillary Clinton.

According to Fox News, the former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate told the Fox Business Network that he was “so proud of the president for going to the UN and saying to the faces of these countries what most of us know to be true.”

Clinton had a much different reaction to the speech. She said on Stephen Colbert’s CBS show that Trump should have called for “more diplomacy” with North Korea instead of threatening to destroy the country. When Huckabee was asked about Clinton’s comments, he asked: “You were the chief diplomat of the United States. How well did that work out for us?”

Referring to terms Clinton and former President Obama used to describe Trump’s speech, Huckabee argued that what is actually “dark and dangerous” is “Little Kim, a.k.a. Rocket Man, lighting the candle on ICBMs and firing them over Japan.” North Korea’s Kim Jong-un has been overseeing his country’s ballistic-missiles tests and threatening to develop a nuclear weapon capable of reaching the United States.

According to Deadline, Huckabee also criticized “The View” during the FBN interview. He said the show’s hosts have an “irrational hatred” of Trump, but added: “I actually like Whoopi, and I get along with Joy.” Huckabee has made a number of appearances on “The View,” most recently with his daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Recalling his experience on the program, the former governor told FBN: “It’s exactly what we expected would happen. We didn’t go in there thinking they were going to give me warm hugs and kisses. I’ve been on that show many times. But I think it’s important that those of us who are conservative, that we’re willing to go into the lion’s den; that we show that we’re not afraid. We’ve got a position, we’re willing to defend it, and frankly it juxtaposes our view and our spirit versus theirs, which is full of anger and irrational hatred toward the president.”

Fox News reported that “The View” co-host Joy Behar asked Huckabee what he thought of his daughter defending the president, who is infamous for calling women derogatory names. “Trump has said some horrifying things about women,” Behar noted. The ex-governor claimed the president has “empowered a lot of women,” including his daughter.

Co-host Jedediah Bila asked the press secretary whether she found it difficult to be a Trump apologist. “I’ve spent a lot of time with the president,” she replied. “I’ve never felt anything but respected and empowered to do what I'm there to do every day and that is my job. I think he’s an equal-opportunity president. He hits men just as hard.”

That prompted co-host Whoopi Goldberg to declare: “You have to get someone in the office who recognizes what the truth is. … I will take you just to one point that we can all agree on. Where was President Obama born and is he an American citizen?” Huckabee Sanders said the issue has been “well addressed.”
