Hillary Regrets Slamming Trump’s Muslim Ban - Thought Everyone Forgot About This

President Donald Trump started a huge outcry when he signed an executive action to temporarily suspend travel from certain countries known to be terrorist hotspots. Even those who favored the action, which would give the US time to review and tighten vetting processes, felt that the action had problems and was clumsily rolled out. A large portion of the country, however, were in fierce opposition to the action. Did the action really unsettle them that much, or was it just part of the knee-jerk culture set on resisting President Trump?

It's a bigger trend than Rick-rolling was 10 years ago: feigning complete outrage at anything President Trump says or does. Every single person the president nominates for his cabinet, or for Supreme Court is another Hitler/Nazi/reincarnation of evil. People leap to Twitter to make these cries, often before they even know who the person is or have any idea of what a that person's actual record must be. Likewise, every executive order is met with a collective 'How dare he!??' from throngs of liberals.

The war cry is fueled by the anti-Trump mainstream media and Democratic Party leaders. Of course, it benefits them to convince anyone who leans liberal to believe they're at war with the epitome of evil. There is huge value in the common enemy that can be used to forward agendas. Trump uses the common enemy argument with illegal immigrants and terrorists; liberals use Trump.

Case in point, former President Barack Obama — much beloved by the left — enacted a ban in 2011 on refugees that was twice as long as President Trump's current ban. "As a result of the Kentucky case, the State Department stopped processing Iraq refugees for six months in 2011, federal officials told ABC News – even for many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and intelligence assets," reported ABC News.

Remember the outcries, the people pouring into airports and streets with militant signs, the accusations that the president is xenophobic...? If you don't, there's a good reason for it. It never happened. People on the right had been begging for immigration reform; and the left liked Obama; so they didn't care if Obama stopped refugees from coming to America. The mainstream media didn't harp on it and twist it, because they, too, largely liked President Obama. If you like a president, you don’t try to ‘resist’ him, no matter what he does; if you don’t like a president, you try to ‘resist’ him, again, no matter what he does. Sadly, the actual action he takes, and whether there’s any reasonable purpose to it, isn’t given much consideration.

Some argue it was a different case entirely; Obama's ban was enacted for 6 months due to two specific Iraqi refugees who were targeting U.S. troops. How you see that as different from President Trump's 3-month ban due to world-wide terrorist threats, attacks and recruiting just depends on which side you've chosen to support. There's something very wrong with that.
