Here's The Controversial Nickname White House Advisers Use For Ivanka Behind Her Back

Presidential advisers Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, are not getting much respect inside the White House, according to Inquisitr.

The news site pointed to a Vanity Fair article in which current and past Trump administration officials criticized the couple for taking on such significant roles despite their lack of experience in government. The president’s daughter has made a number of high-profile appearances, including the G-20 summit in Germany, where she sported a stylish pink dress that drew jeers from some observers. “Excuse me, this is not a royal family, and she’s not the princess royal,” a former adviser to President Trump said. Another unidentified person confirmed that “princess royal” is a term frequently applied to Ivanka in the West Wing, “but never to her face.”

One of the sources, whom Vanity Fair described as a “well-connected strategist in New York,” revealed that the couple are planning to leave Washington, D.C. when the school year ends next year. An “influential Republican donor” also predicted they will give up their positions in the administration and return to New York City. “When they decide it’s more important to protect their own and their children’s reputations than it is to defend their indefensible father’s, that’s a sign the end is near,” the donor said.

According to the sources, Kushner has clashed with other White House officials, including former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. Ivanka reportedly is “cold” to her fellow staffers. She allegedly can be “charming,” but is known for making “cutting remarks” about those who criticize her father.

“There’s nothing more obstructive and distracting and unhelpful than to have a bunch of stupid, apolitical family members calling all the shots,” a former West Wing aide declared. Another insider accused Ivanka and Jared of lacking “self-awareness” and not knowing how to “behave.” He explained that it is “off-putting” how they “do not grasp their essential irrelevance” because “they think they are special.”

However, Ivanka and Jared continue to insist they will remain in the White House. “If she weren’t my daughter, it would be so much easier for her,” President Trump said during the G-20 summit. “It might be the only bad thing she has going, if you want to know the truth.” The White House has pushed back against charges of nepotism by noting that Ivanka receives no salary.

Kushner is among the members of the Trump campaign and administration who has had contacts with Russian officials. He was at the 2016 meeting that Donald Trump Jr. held with a Kremlin-connected lawyer who offered incriminating information about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Kushner, who also traveled to Moscow to meet with the head of a bank that Russian leader Vladimir Putin controls, defended himself by claiming to have had “over 100 calls or meetings with representatives of more than 20 countries.”

Vanity Fair reported: “Inside the Trump White House, where advisers are regularly subjected to ritualistic debasement or worse at the president’s hands, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are the two people who up till now have managed to float above the fray. They have become a feared duo inside the West Wing. … They appear to be driven in equal parts by family loyalty and brand preservation.”
