Here’s What Obama Did To Pence Prior To The Election - Big Mistake

According to an investigation by the Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group, former President Barack Obama tried to push federal interference into the 2016 Indiana state and local election system. The Department of Homeland Security tried hacking the state elector system with nearly 15,000 IT scans.

“[W]e know that between November 1 and December 16 we were scanned with about 14,800 scans, nearly 15,000 different times,” said Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson, who is also the incoming president of the National Association of Secretaries of State. Former Indiana governor Mike Pence was the vice president elect at the time.

The intrusive scans were traced back to an IP address from a DHS computer. The same computer was also found to be involved in at least 10 scans in an attempt to hack the Georgia electoral system in 2016. The inspector general of the DHC is investigating the Georgia hacking attempt.

Neither the state of Georgia nor Indian approved the scanning attempts, and DHS rules prohibit federal officials from breeching state systems without permission. According to Lawson, Indiana state was offered but declined federal assistance.

Lawson’s IT director, Thomas Vessely, confirmed that “we kindly declined [DHS] assistance because we were very comfortable in the work we were doing in monitoring our election system.”

Despite not giving permission, the Obama administration declared the election system in Indiana a ‘critical infrastructure’ for national security purposes, a designation opposed by the NASS. The NASS is asking President Donald Trump to overturn the designation.

Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp said he was also suspicious that the attempted breech on the Georgia election network had something to do with the critical infrastructure designation as well; he’d planned to talk to DHS about the incident. The attacks took place just at the time he was vocally opposing the designation and he wonders if the attacks were an effort to intimidate him.
