Hannity Accuses Justice System Of Protecting The Clintons

Liberals like the Clintons get all the breaks, according to Sean Hannity.

“Does America have equal justice under the law? It appears tonight the answer is no,” the Fox News host declared this week in response to the federal indictments against three former Trump campaign officials. “Because from everything we now know, there’s one justice system for the Clintons, the left, liberals and all their cronies, and another one for everyone else in America.”

Hannity complained that while President Trump’s associates face charges of conspiring with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election, Bill and Hillary Clinton continue to escape prosecution. The conservative commentator lashed out at Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller, who empaneled the grand jury that indicted former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and deputy chairman Rick Gates. Another one of the president’s ex-aides pleaded guilty to lying to federal agents.

“Is this all Mueller has? Because if it is, it’s pathetic,” Hannity said. “Another day, another example after a year of speculation, no evidence of any collusion between President Trump and Russia.” He claimed there is proof that in 2010 the Clintons helped the Russian nuclear-energy industry acquire controlling interest in Uranium One, a Canadian firm that owns uranium mines in Wyoming and Utah. The Obama administration approved the transaction while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.

In addition, Hannity cited the Clinton campaign’s funding of Fusion GPS, a company that conducted opposition research on Trump during the presidential race. Some of the information the firm uncovered later appeared in a dossier that former British spy Christopher Steele compiled. The dossier reportedly contained details about Trump’s Russian connections. The Democratic National Committee also made payments to Fusion GPS, which began its research project with money from an unknown anti-Trump Republican.

The Clintons should be “rotting in a jail cell,” according to Hannity, who asked his viewers: “Will we have equal justice under the law, or will America just be a banana republic, corrupt at its core? That is what is at stake tonight. America has a choice. We can have equal justice for everyone, or we can live in a country where if you have the right politics, you stand for the right left-wing positions, you can sell out your country and you can get away with it.”

Fox News reported that on Monday, Manafort and Gates pleaded not guilty to 12 criminal counts involving conspiracy against the United States, money laundering, failing to register as foreign agents, filing inaccurate reports, making false statements and failing to disclose overseas bank accounts. The men allegedly used foreign financial institutions to hide money they received from Russia.

Before joining the Trump campaign, Manafort was a consultant for a Ukrainian oligarch with close ties to Russian leader Vladimir Putin. His lawyer insisted he is innocent of the charges. “President Donald Trump was correct. There is no evidence the Trump campaign colluded with the Russia government,” the attorney, Kevin Downing, said. “A claim that maintaining offshore accounts to bring all your funds into the United States, as a scheme to conceal from the United States government, is ridiculous. … This fight is just beginning.”
