Giuliani: Take ISIS Threats Seriously

On Wednesday, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) said that the American people should take the ISIS threats of preparing attacks in the United States seriously. He said, "Don't discount it. It may be an understatement." On Tuesday, ISIS claimed credit for the shooting on Sunday at a "Draw Muhammad" event in Garland, TX. The group praised the two gunman by calling them brothers and promised to throw additional attacks at the United States. The White House labeled the shooting an "attempted terrorist attack," but said it was premature to determine whether or not ISIS had breached America's borders.

Giuliani also said law enforcement needs to pick up Obama's slack, saying, “The FBI has no confusion about this; the CIA has no confusion about this. I think the fact that they [ISIS] made this announcement is in some ways helpful because it puts local law enforcement on alert. Remember, we only have about 15,000 [or] 16,000 FBI agents. We have over 800,000 uniformed police officers, not to count all the private security and everything else. We can make those people our eyes and ears. If we could teach them the precursors of terrorism, the things to look for.”
