Giuliani: Hillary Clinton Belongs In A Prison ‘Jumpsuit’

Rudy Giuliani apparently was suggesting that Hillary Clinton should be in jail when he remarked Tuesday that he pictures the Democratic presidential nominee “in an orange jumpsuit.”

“I was U.S. attorney and assistant to the U.S. attorney for too many years to laugh at Mrs. Clinton,” the former New York City mayor said on 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia. “When I see her, I see her in an orange jumpsuit, I’m sorry, or at least a striped one.”

CNN aired the radio interview, hosted by Dom Giordano, who asked Giuliani for his reaction to the Alfred E. Smith dinner last week. The Hill reported that Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump spoke at the annual charity event, which is intended to be a light-hearted affair. Both candidates told jokes ridiculing each other, which brought laughs and groans from the crowd.

Clinton also took a shot at Giuliani, mentioning that he started his political career as a prosecutor. The ex-mayor responded on Giordano’s program: “I’d have prosecuted her a year ago and probably convicted her by now.” That echoed a moment in the most recent presidential debate, when Trump vowed to imprison Clinton if he wins the Nov. 8 election.

Giuliani, a Republican who was the mayor of the nation’s largest city on 9/11, is one of Trump’s top surrogates on the campaign trail. He frequently defends the candidate on television news shows, and has spoken at a number of the real-estate tycoon’s rallies.
