Even Wunderkind Jared Kushner’s Finds Himself In The President's Crosshairs Lately

No matter how your week has turned out, there’s a pretty good chance you’re having a better week than White House staff. To say that it’s been a rough week or so for the Trump administration would be an understatement, and tensions are understandably high at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. There has been an endless stream of negative stories making the rounds about President Trump and his administration ever since he took office, but it’s reaching epic proportions of late.

As AOL shares, the constant flow of bad press is beginning to wear on the nerves of those that serve at the pleasure of the president, not to mention the man that occupies the Oval Office himself. Reports indicate that the president has had about enough of his staff’s inability to get some semblance of control over the news cycle, and his temper continues to rise. Virtually no one is safe from a tongue lashing from Trump at this point, and that includes those with family ties.

Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, is among those that have felt the president’s wrath of late. We’ll assume Kushner will be able to take it in stride due to the knowledge that his father-in-law is being bombarded with the negative press every time he turns around, but it’s nonetheless an example that it’s starting to fray on Trump’s nerves.

From a distance, that’s perfectly understandable. Constant negativity can be tough to battle through, and it can be tough to keep your spirits up when doom and gloom surround you. That being said, there’s something to be said for rallying the troops in those times. There’s also a lot to be said for not making things worse in those times, and it appears that Trump may be guilty of just that.

Trump’s penchant for sharing his thoughts on social media makes it next to impossible for White House staff to stay in front of things. Add in the fact that he’s offered up some curious answers in television interviews, and it’s quite clear that Trump administration staff spends an inordinate amount of time on clean-up duty and attempting to get to the bottom of what the overall message should be.

There’s a real possibility we could see some staff changes if things don’t turn around soon, but that will amount to little more than a band-aid on a gushing wound if real changes aren’t implemented.
