Donald Trump Says He Doesn't Know Much About Ben Carson's Religion

Donald Trump spoke with host John Dickerson on CBS's "Face the Nation" to explain his comments on fellow GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson's religion.

Trump said that he didn't know what a Seventh-day Adventist was.

He stated, “I'm not that familiar with it. I've heard about it, but I'm not that familiar with it. That wasn't meant to be an insult, obviously, it's just that I don't know about it.” Dickerson then asked Trump if his comments conveyed ignorance.

Trump replied, “Well, it's a harsh way of putting it, but perhaps I could say it that way, yes, because I just don't know about, as I said, I don't know about that.”
