Donald Trump Jr. Slams CNN for Bullying, Intimidation and 'Blackmail'

In the last two weeks, CNN has taken one hit after another that has damaged the media outlet's reputation. Like a wild animal backed into a corner, the network executives seem to feel the only thing they can do is fight back. The CEO vows to fight President Donald Trump, one of the network’s biggest critics (and their biggest target for negative sensationalized news). They've also threatened a person who made a comical meme of Trump taking the network down. Donald Trump Jr. is lashing out at them now.

Donald Trump Jr. found out that CNN was accused of blackmailing a Reddit user by the name of HanA--holeSolo, and he's taken to Twitter to slam the news outlet. The Reddit user put out a silly GIF he created that features a doctored WWE wrestling event from 2007 in which one person tackles and beats another person. the Reddit user superimposed CNN's logo on the head of the tackled party, and put President Trump's head on the tackler.

The president himself found the meme amusing and retweeted it. CNN, in the wake of their shame after a damaging expose, revealed that they spoke to HanA--holeSolo and threatened to 'release his identity'.

"Let's bully and intimidate citizens online so they never question our #fakenews again! #CNNBlackmail," Trump Jr. wrote in response, mocking CNN's handling of the situation.

Trump Jr. also took a shot at a CNN reporter, Jim Acosta, who claimed the president's press conference in Poland was 'fake news' because the POTUS took a question from ''a reporter who is essentially an ally of the White House'.

Trump Jr. called out Acosta, reminding him of how CNN fawned over former President Barack Obama for eight years. "So by that logic, was every news conference for the last 8 years #fakenews Jim?" he asked.

"CNN: Lets corner the market on anything stupid and overly sensational!!! NBC: Hold my beer," Don Jr. tweeted, mimicking a popular meme.

CNN has been digging themselves in deeper and deeper after several hits to their credibility that has vindicated Donald Trump after repeatedly accusing the network of making up news stories. First, three of their reporters were fired for actually publishing a story about a Trump-Russia connection that was completely fabricated.

Next, Project Veritas, a non-profit watchdog group, released a three-part expose after going undercover in the network and learning that the Trump-Russia story was nothing more than a campaign to get ratings. Even after the expose, PV released more hidden video of a producer calling American voters 'stupid' and making fun of his boss.

Days after that, the media company became so offended by the silly meme that they tracked down the person who created it and threatened to expose the person.

"CNN is not publishing "HanA--holeSolo's" name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again," the network said, adding an ominous threat. "CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change."

"If only @CNN spent as much time tracking down info on IRS targeting, Fast & Furious, Iran deal etc. as they did a meme writer!" Trump Jr. later tweeted.
