Donald Trump Focuses On Carly Fiorina's Business Record

On Monday, Donald Trump addressed Carly Fiorina during an interview on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program. He said, "When you listen for more than five minutes, you develop a tremendous headache." He states that she's said the "same lines many times." Trump also said, "She drove Lucent into the ground, a company that she ran. She then drove a big company, Hewlett-Packard...she made a horrible purchase when she bought Compaq computers. They're still recovering from her disaster."

He then referred to a Wall Street Journal story from last week sharing Hewlett-Packard's plans to cut another 25,000 to 30,000 workers in order to split the company into two separate businesses and cut $2.7 billion in annual costs. In addition, Trump added that Fiorina was winning in her challenge against California Democrat Barbara Boxer for the Senate "until they found out how bad she did in business. She frankly got wiped out and lost in a landslide."

After the second Republican presidential debate, Fiorina jumped up in the polls. Trump responded, "I get by far the biggest crowds. If I don't make it, that's okay, I'll go back to having a good time and building a business and being with my family and my kids, but this is a shot, and I'll give it my best."
