Donald Trump Discusses Hillary Clinton's Limited Work for African-Americans During Her Decades-Long Political Career

On Thursday night, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump argued that Hillary Clinton has done little for the African-American community during her long political career.

Speaking on Fox New's "Hannity" he said, “But I listen to her, she’s been there forever. She’s talking about how she’s going to help African Americans. What has she been doing for the last 25 years? She’s been there, you know, that whole machine ... it’s been there for years, so many years. They haven’t done anything."

Trump then vowed that if he wins the Republican nomination, he will also win the black vote in a general election. He said, “I will tell you, African-Americans, if I get the nomination, will come to me. We will have so many African-Americans, because they understand me, they know me. They know I’m going to bring back jobs from China, from Mexico. I’m going to create jobs, great jobs, not the kind of jobs they have right now.”

On the Democratic side, Clinton and Sanders are working hard to gain support from minority voters. On Wednesday, Sanders met with civil rights activist Al Sharpton. Clinton is scheduled to meet with Sharpton on Tuesday. In addition, the Congressional Black Caucus PAC also endorsed Clinton on Thursday.
