Donald Trump Calls Rally Protesters 'Sick'

As more protests and scuffles broke out at his campaign events this weekend in Arizona, Donald Trump sided with his supporters and campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Trump spoke to George Stephanopoulos on ABC's This Week saying, "I think it's very unfair that these, really, in many cases, professional and in many cases sick protesters can put cars in the road blocking thousands of great Americans from coming to a speech and nobody says something about that."

Trump was discussing an attempt protesters made to block attendees from attending his Fountain Hills, Arizona rally. Lewandowski was captured on video grabbing a protester by the collar, and Trump said, "I give him credit for having spirit." Stephanopoulos asked Trump why Lewandowski would be in the crowd.

Trump said, "Because the security at the arena, the police, were a little lax. He wanted to take down those horrible, profanity-laced signs." One of the signs read, "Trump: Late for a Klan meeting?"

The most violent incident occurred this weekend at a Tuscon rally when a white man, wearing an American flag shirt was being escorted out while a black Trump supporter, Tony Pettway, 32, kicked and punched him repeatedly. The victim was being escorted out with another demonstrator who was wearing a KKK-style white hood and performed a Nazi salute before being taken out.

Trump asked, "But why would a protester walk into a room with a Ku Klux Klan outfit on?" Trump went on to say, "We don't condone violence and I say it and we have very little violence, very very little violence at the rallies."

He then talked about the protesters saying, "They blocked a road. I think maybe those people should suffer some blame also. Let me just say it's a very unfair double standard."
