Did Maxine Waters Just Say Obama Made Sure That Trump Was Wiretapped?

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) appeared on MSNBC to defend her language and her position. She's not backing down from her over-the-top witch hunt against President Donald Trump. Ms. Waters defends the comment she made about the president's cabinet being full of 'scumbags' and she is continuing to push for an investigation into Mr. Trump's ties to Russia.

Waters appeared on MSNBC and spoke to Chris Hayes about the criticism she got for the harsh language she used against the Trump administration. She remains unapologetic for her choice of words, and says it's 'absolutely fine'.

The congresswoman deeply believes that the Trump administration colluded with Russia to win the election, and she's not backing down until she proves it. She says former President Obama was onto it, but was unable to see through the investigation.

"I think there is a trail and I think that the Obama administration has done everything that it can possibly do," said Waters to Hayes.

Waters believes that it's been 'probably verified somewhat' by news reports alleging that there is collusion, even though the same news outlets repeatedly admit there are only accusations, but no evidence.

"And that's probably been verified somewhat by the New York Times to make sure that enough people have seen some of the meetings and some of the connections, so that they have something to go on when the investigations are really under way," said Waters.

"What we know is that we can't trust the AG, we can't trust the FBI, we can't trust [James] Comey, we can't trust Sessions," Waters added. "And so we've got to get an independent overseer of some kind in here to get going with the investigations."

Hayes suggested a '9/11 style commission' being appointed to look into the president's ties to Russia, and Waters was all for it.

Waters has been in an uproar ever since the Democrats lost in the 2016 election, and seems to think members of the winning party should be treated as guilty until proven innocent.
